Private individual or professional,
trust the European specialist in the rental of refrigerated trailer for transporting fresh products

A complete range
of refrigerated trailers

The transport of fresh or perishable products is particularly delicate. In order to strictly respect the cold chain, it is often necessary to use a refrigerated trailer. Our range of rental trailers can be adapted to your specific needs. Thus, our vehicles are all equipped with:

  • A double or triple axle to distribute the load evenly;
  • Durable hot-dip galvanized steel frame and chassis;
  • A floor perfectly insulated with several layers of waterproof glues;
  • Special doors for cold rooms;
  • A class A and C (road and mains) refrigeration unit to ensure refrigeration.

Hitch your trailer to a vehicle and transfer your fresh produce without any problems!

All you need to know
about refrigerated trailers before renting

A refrigerated trailer or reefer trailer, is composed of a refrigerated unit that allows maintaining a steady temperature of stored products. We provide cool trailers with “static storage” which ideally requires three-phase electric power, but the engine can be switched on which uses diesel while transporting and becomes “portable storage”. Our models are therefore suitable for long haulage of perishable goods. For further information about our offer, you might consult our refrigerated trailer range.

What are the possible uses of a refrigerated trailer?

This type of trailer is usually rented for the storage of fresh produce. There can be many uses depending on your needs. Our commercial trailers are suitable for industries and businesses that require cold preservation of perishable goods during long haul transport.

What license to hire a refrigerated trailer?

Trailers can be rented and used with a simple B permit as long as you respect the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). At Petit Forestier, we require your operator licence and business insurance for the edition of the rental contract.

At what temperature are goods kept in the cold room of a refrigerated trailer?

In general, the temperature of the trailer's cold room is between -18°C and 18°C in order to comply with legal standards. Dual temperature trailers can regulate chilled and frozen, or even ambient at the same time.
