Strip curtains vs. air curtains
Strip curtains are made of PVC and are long strips that are cut in between. They insulate the cold and limit its loss during loading and unloading. The passage of the preparers/deliverers remains relatively easy. Ambient air curtains are frequently used in cold rooms. They also insulate the cold from the outside temperature and limit the loss when the refrigerated truck is open. This solution is more comfortable for the pickers/delivery personnel, however, it requires an additional energy source. Strip curtains and air curtains are renowned for their effectiveness. Both of them offer significant energy savings because the refrigeration unit is less stressed when the doors of the refrigerated truck are open. Both types of curtains also help to limit the entry of dust into the truck body, a more hygienic solution!
What's a temperature recorder?
Having a controlled temperature corresponds to the principle of maintaining a chosen temperature in a constant, stable and permanent manner. A temperature recorder is an instrument that will measure the temperature of your load and detect the slightest variations. This way, the temperature is constantly recorded during your trip. At the slightest change, your temperature recorder alerts you!
What is the difference between a single-temperature box and a multi-temperature box?
Petit Forestier offers you the possibility of segmenting your refrigerated truck into several compartments and benefiting from different temperatures in the same load. For example, if you transport both fresh and frozen products, a multi-temperature crate will allow you to keep a positive temperature for fresh products and a negative temperature for frozen products. If you are transporting goods with equivalent temperature requirements, a single-temperature box will be sufficient.
Shelves
Petit Forestier equips and fits the body of your refrigerated truck according to your needs. We can install shelving that will allow you to optimize your load and achieve economies of scale. Shelving is nevertheless reserved for products of reasonable size and weight.
Meat rail
The storage and transport of meat requires very special equipment to meet the challenges of quality, hygiene and conservation. Petit Forestier attaches the rails to the ceiling of the body of your refrigerated truck and provides you with the hooks. Your refrigerated vehicle is ready for use!
What's a tailgate lift?
A tailgate lift, also known as a lifting platform, is installed at the rear of the truck body and accompanies you to load and unload your goods. In particular, it allows you to handle heavy loads without having to dock the vehicle.
